Kolkata Knight Riders fielding coach Ryan ten Doeschate has given an update on the fitness of star batsman Rinku Singh. Despite being one of the best fielders in the team, Rinku Singh has only been seen batting in the last few matches. He has been a part of KKR’s playing 11 in the first four matches of the season but Rinku did not field.

KKR vs RR: Rinku Singh did not field due to injury

During the IPL 2024 match on Tuesday, KKR fielding coach Ryan ten Doeschate confirmed that Rinku Singh had suffered a side injury. He has not been fielding in the last few matches. The team management is taking good care of Rinku’s recovery and he will be included in the fielding again only when he is completely fit.

Ryan ten Doeschate said at Eden Gardens, “Rinku Singh has a slight injury on his side. He is not completely fit and we want to give him some rest, once he fully recovers he will return to the field as a fielder.”

Rinku Singh confirmed

After the defeat against Rajasthan Royals, Rinku Singh himself confirmed this and said, “I had a little problem so I could not field. Next match on 21st, I will do proper fielding. “He is hopeful that he will be fully ready for the fielding role in the next match on April 21.”
