Sara Tendulkar: A proud sister, wrote a heartfelt tribute to her younger brother

The great Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, took his first IPL wicket on Tuesday (April 18) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad during Match No. 25 of IPL 2023 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. The final over of the chase, in which SRH required 20 runs, was assigned to the 23-year-old Arjun, who made his IPL debut on Sunday (April 16) against Kolkata Knight Riders. Nonetheless, Arjun’s precise bowling enabled his team win by 14 runs. In addition to securing MI’s third straight victory, he made the game special for himself by claiming his first-ever IPL wicket. He dismissed Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the fifth ball of the 20th over. The 33-year-old Indian pacer was caught by Rohit Sharma inside the 30-yard circle.

Sara Tendulkar, Arjun’s older sister, used Instagram to share a story after Arjun grabbed his first-ever IPL wicket. She posted a photo of the left-arm pacer during the post-game interview and added the following caption: “WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS DAY. So so so so proud of you !! @arjuntendulkar24.”

Apart from that, she also shared a video of Arjun’s first wicket and wrote, “can’t stop watching the highlights!”.

After defeating Sunrisers on Tuesday, MI improved to 3-1 overall. With six points from their first five games, they are currently ranked No. 6 in the IPL 2023 points standings. The Punjab Kings will be MI’s next opponent when they play on Saturday, April 22 at the Wankhede Stadium.
