'Team India Will Play In PAK Only When', Anurag Thakur Gave A Statement Regarding Champions Trophy 2025

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has answered the question of whether the Indian cricket team will tour Pakistan to play Champions Trophy 2025.

Champions Trophy 2025: Union Minister Anurag Thakur has answered the question of whether the Indian cricket team will tour Pakistan to play Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, former BCCI president Thakur said that India will tour Pakistan only when the neighboring country stops its terrorist activities.

IND Has Not Visited PAK For A Long Time

India has not toured Pakistan since 2008. Last year the Asia Cup was to be organized in Pakistan. But due to India’s insistence on not traveling to Pakistan, the tournament was held in a hybrid format. After 26/11 in 2008, Pakistani players have been banned from playing in IPL.

Why Is PCB Adamant On Bringing India To Pakistan?

Now, as Champions Trophy 2005 approaches, the question regarding the Indian team’s tour to Pakistan has once again come to the fore. Inviting India to play Pakistan would be a big boost for the PCB, and hence the PCB is making every possible effort to ensure that India tours Pakistan for the tournament.

Recently, when Anurag Thakur was asked a question in a media session, he said, “This decision has to be taken by BCCI. But when I was BCCI President, I had said that two things cannot be done at the same time. You cannot expect India to play in your own country while carrying out terrorist activities in India. You have to first stop firing on India, stop throwing bombs on us, stop terrorism. Whenever Pakistan stops terrorist activities, India will go to Pakistan and play cricket. This is my personal opinion.”
